2008 Combined Asian Oceanic R/C Aerobatics Championships

By appointment of the Federation Aeronautique International (FAI), The Chinese Taipei Aerosports Association, and the Chinese Taipei Aeromodelling Association. The organizers take great pleasure to invite all FAI member countries of the Asian Oceanic regions to participate in the 7th Combined Asian Oceanic Championships (CAOCC) for Radio Control Aerobatic model aircraft (FAI class F3A)
Each country is invited to send a team of three competitors plus a team manager, plus helpers and supporters to participate in the championship. The reigning champion, Mr. Tetsuo Onda, from Japan, is invited to defend his individual title.

DATE: 19 - 26 October 2008
LOCATION:
Taichung City is the third largest city in Taiwan, and the home to many high-tech companies. The city is located in the center of the country. The weather is very stable and comfortable all year around, and the temperature ranges from 25℃-28℃. Sunrise during October is at 06:00 and sunset at 17:00. The championships will take place at the Sui Nan Airport, located in the northwest part of the city. The driving time from the Evergreen Laurel Hotel to the airport (competition site) is about 10~15 minutes. The location of the site may be viewed on Google Earth at these coordinates: 24∘ 11∘ 06 75N

Practice fields will be arranged for participants. Details will follow in subsequent bulletins.

FREQUENCIES:
All 72MHz frequencies are cleared by use by aeromodellers in Chinese Taipei, and have been proven to be free from interference. The 2.4GHz band is also legal for use by aeromodellers in the Chinese Taipei.
